Urho managed to win silver in both national competition levels: the national league and 1st division.

In the league Urho placed 5th, 3rd, 2nd and 2nd in the four tournaments during the season. Team progressed steadily and started winning against last years champs WPS in the prelims in Lappeenranta and Pirkkala tournaments. With this elevated confidence most of other teams were no match for Urho. Just only in the finals losing to the 2022 champions Dream Team from Turku.

League medals were long time coming, latest season podium was in 2012 for Urho. Most players of the season 2022 roster were on the league podium for the first time in their career.

To add joy and celebration, Urho purple battled through 1st division neck and neck with PH Young Guns who just barely snatched the division gold in front or our team. Purple managed to win the tournament in Lappeenranta other rankings being 3rd, 3rd and 2nd.

Silver in div 1 is a great achievement for our team which included our younger generation players. Most of these youngsters are U16 and have started their Urho careers in our weekly junior games.

Two season silver medals was a crown to a great year in Urho. We have had a really active season with several new players joining in.

And silver leaves our team hungry to show that they got what it takes to be even better and take the championship back to Urho camp once again.

Urho on yksi Suomen aktiivisimmisista paintball-seuroista. Meillä on joka viikko ohjatut harjoitukset jäsenille. Harjoituskausi alkaa maaliskuussa ja jatkuu loka-marraskuulle säästä riippuen.

Harjoituksia johtaa Suomen kokeneimmat valmentajat ja mukana on aina lajitekniikkaa, liikkumista ja joukkueharjoitteita.

Mukana Urhossa on pelaajia 10 – 50+ vuotiaisiin.

A very challenging year 2020 finished! Despite the challenges, in Finland we were able to play Paintball almost the full season. In addition, Urho continued training young players using Planet Eclipse Emek markers throughout the year.

Due to the exceptional situation that started in the world at the beginning of the year because of COVID-19, the tournament rounds started a little later than normal. Season was shortened from the normal four tournaments to three tournaments.

The tournament rounds of the 2020 season started in Kirkkonummi, where in the Finnish National League Urho placed 3rd and in the1st division league Urho Purple played a great tournament win for themselves!

After Urho’s fine season opening round of 2020 we started get ready for SUURPELI(Big Game) that is an event being held in Finland every summer. For more information about SUURPELI, click here. 13 people from Urho took part in Big Game season 2020.

After a short week of recovering from Big Game, it was time for a second tournament round in Vierumäki. In Finnish National League Urho placed 7th and in the 1st division league Urho Purple placed 6th.

3rd tournament round was played in Rauma and with it also a very difficult season came to an end. Urho’s SPBL tournament season 2020 placements: in Finnish National League Urho placed 5th and in the 1st division league Urho Purple placed 4th.

SPBL tournament season 2020 Finnish National League victory went to team Waasankadun Palloseura and in the 1st. Division league victory to team Räyhä. Congratulations to the winners!

Saturday 27th of June early morning starts with above +20 degrees and there seems to be no wind at all, perhaps little too good weather for this. Yep, it’s time to play season 2020 first of three Finnish International Paintball tournament at ProGames Paintball Park, Kirkkonummi. The morning begins with the games of the first division teams and continues with games of the Finnish National Team.

Urho’s I – Division team starts season strong, THE FIRST place of the tournament with 5 wins and 1 draw.

Urho’s Finnish National Team ranks nicely 3rd!

Urho will continue training hard for season 2020 two other tournaments that takes place August and September.

So yeah this exceptional situation is definitely influencing paintball training in Finland like in any other country but Urho is still getting ready for the season.

Early of the year 2020 started new television show called ”Paasosen Polttaritoimisto” and Urho Borrowed some of our own paintball guns for the show.

This year was amazing for Urho all together. We played together and had so much fun, we got some good placements in games together and we got some new faces to join us and we will continue even stronger to year 2020 together!

In Urho we have saying: Urho once, Urho always! and for that 16. of november we all joined together to celebrate all these years and what a time we had! Awesome company, amazing food and lots of speeches and storys and damn we all had fun!

Finnish National League

Urho did play in all four rounds and placed:

1. First round was played in Rauma and Urho placed third out of eight teams.
2. Second round was played in Piikkiö and Urho placed seventh out of eight teams.
3. Third round was played in Kirkkonummi and Urho placed third out of eight teams.
4. Fourth round was played in Vierumäki and Urho placed seventh out of eight teams. After the last round all the teams joined together to celebrate year 2019 in the restaurant near the playing field.

I – Division

Urho Purple played in round 3 and 4. All the division games are played as same day and in the same place with Finnish Championship games.

1. Third round in Kirkkonummi Urho Purple placed fifth out of six teams.
2. Fourth round in Vierumäki Urho Purple placed fourth out of six teams.

Forrest league

Urho played in all three rounds and placed:

1. 1. First round was played in Kirkkonummi and Urho placed fifth our of seven teams.
   2. Second round was played in Heinola and Urho placed third out of four teams.
   3. Third and final round was played in Paimio and Urho fought in first place.

Late of the season 2019 Urho also got four new players full of fighting spirit and enthusiasm, welcome Joona, Kaisa, Lari and Teemu! and for that we will continue strong to season 2020!

Urho is team that has best possible team spirit in practice and league games and we really enjoy playing together.

This is the kinda sport that if you get in it you can not escape it! 😉

Sunday 7. October Leader and charter member of Urho Jani Leskinen represented paintball in television show called ”Kaikki Vastaan 1”. In the show people from the audience and from home have chance to be part of the game with mobile phones trying to guess closest to right answers about whats happening in the show. In this episode Jani had task to shoot paintballs to the wall and infront of it there was wooden board with heart shaped holes in it. Mission was to paint hearts in the wall by shooting paintballs in heart shapes.

Friday 29. June we got opportunity to represent paintball at national television. Television show called ”Posse” needed paintball team to be part of their show and at that point we really didnt know where we was going.

In the show we needed to shoot hosts and youtubers called Herbalisti and lakko while they was trying to get trough obstacle course.
